PT Marenc International Technologies is seeking a careful, practical and highly organized Laboratory Technician to support our chemical formulation and product-development activities in Jakarta.
This position will work closely with the Chemical Formulation & Product Development Engineer and Marenc’s technical leadership in preparing formulations, running laboratory tests and maintaining reliable laboratory operations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory-scale chemical formulations and experimental samples according to technical instructions.
- Accurately weigh, mix, blend and label chemicals and raw materials.
- Support routine formulation and product-performance testing.
- Record experimental observations and test results accurately.
- Prepare samples for internal evaluation, customers and external laboratories.
- Maintain organized sample records and laboratory notebooks.
- Manage raw-material samples, chemical inventory and laboratory consumables.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, glassware and working areas in good condition.
- Support stability studies, compatibility tests and comparative product evaluations.
- Assist the formulation engineer during development and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow laboratory safety, chemical-handling and waste-management procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding formulations, samples and technical information.
Candidate profile
- SMK Kimia, D3 Chemical Analysis, D3 Chemistry, D3 Chemical Engineering or a related technical qualification.
- Previous laboratory experience is preferred, although strong fresh graduates with good practical training are encouraged to apply.
- Comfortable handling chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Accurate weighing, measurement and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures precisely.
- Disciplined, organized and reliable.
- Basic Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Willing to learn formulation development and specialty chemical applications.
- Basic English technical understanding is advantageous.

- Surfactants
- Detergents or industrial cleaners
- Emulsions
- Water-treatment products
- Oilfield chemicals
- Paints or coatings
- Cosmetics or personal-care formulation
- Chemical quality-control laboratories
